$34,000 Awarded to Seacoast Nonprofits Through The Fabulous Find’s Giving Program

KITTERY, MAINE — The Fabulous Find has announced the recipients of its monthly grant program for March, awarding a total of $34,337 in proceeds to three Seacoast nonprofits. Strawbery Banke Museum, Zebra Crossings, and Children's Museum of New Hampshire will each receive $11,445.

Each month, The Fabulous Find donates 100 percent of its profits to selected nonprofit partners, supporting a wide range of community needs across the Piscataqua Region.

“We’re thrilled to support Strawbery Banke Museum, Zebra Crossings, and the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire,” said Marcye Philbrook, president of the Board of Directors at the Fabulous Find. “So many people on the Seacoast don’t realize that every purchase and donation at The Fabulous Find stays right here in our community. It’s also a fun, welcoming place to shop, and we’re grateful to our nonprofit partners for helping spread the word while we give back together.”

Located in Kittery, Maine, The Fabulous Find is a nonprofit resale boutique offering a curated selection of clothing, jewelry, home goods, furniture, books, and more. Proceeds from purchases and donations directly benefit local organizations focused on the arts, environment, food security, fuel assistance, animal welfare, and education.

Strawbery Banke Museum will use its grant to support student summer camp and field trip scholarships, helping expand access to hands-on history experiences on its historic waterfront campus.

“We’re deeply grateful to The Fabulous Find and everyone who supports its mission,” said Linnea Grim, president and CEO, Thomas W. Haas Endowed Chair, Strawbery Banke Museum. “This generous gift helps open the door for more young people to experience hands-on history. Access matters, and this support ensures more families can be part of the stories that shape our community.”

In 2025, Strawbery Banke provided financial aid to 2,497 students, ensuring more families could participate in its educational programs.

Zebra Crossings provides free programs and support for children with chronic medical conditions and their families.

“This generous contribution helps us continue providing free programs that bring connection, comfort, and fun to children living with chronic illness and their families,” said Emily Mundy. “We’re committed to ensuring every child can participate, regardless of financial barriers, and support like this makes that possible.”

All day programs are offered at no cost, and overnight family camps have a low registration fee. Scholarships are available for overnight camp retreats. In 2025, 50% of camp families utilized full or partial scholarships.

For more than 40 years, Children's Museum of New Hampshire has offered play-based learning experiences for children and families.

“Support from The Fabulous Find strengthens our ability to deliver joyful, play-based learning experiences for children across the state,” said Monique Deforge, director of Development and Community Engagement, the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. “Last year, the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire engaged more than 95,000 visitors, with 20 percent of those welcomed via free and discounted admission programs designed to reach children in financial need or other challenging circumstances. This kind of community investment helps ensure these experiences remain accessible to all.

Community members can support future grants by shopping or donating to The Fabulous Find, where every purchase helps fund local nonprofits and strengthens the Seacoast community. For more information and hours, visit thefabulousfind.org.
