Asst Retail Manager at Portsmouth Soap Componay
Portsmouth Soap Company is seeking a fun, energetic year-round Store Manager who enjoys staying active in a fast-paced environment, one who will engage with consumers and use knowledge of products to help meet the customers’ needs. Prior retail or customer-facing sales experience is a plus.
- Competitive biweekly pay, 25-30 hours per week (potential to increase to full time)
- one week of paid vacation. Range ($22-$25/hr)
- Reliable daytime hours -minimal weekends
Responsibilities:
- Supervises the daily operation of the store, including completion of online orders, assigning daily activities to others, and submitting time records bimonthly for employees
- Supervises the control of the store cash management including depositing and withdraws from bank to maintain Cash drawer.
- Cycle count of product inventory and reports low stock, maintains outdoor signage, and interior design of windows monthly
- Uploads/sends photos of products twice a week for social media
- Ensure that the store interior is clean and presentable; sends email/text with any repair and maintenance needs
- Build a professional relationship with other Business Retailers and support Local Love program
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Prior experience using Square and Postal Shipping apps
- Ability to work independently with integrity and professionalism
