Trend Talks: Homeless on the Seacoast
Description
Trend Talks is a cooperative program between The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth and Leadership Seacoast to bring fresh, relevant, and timely information to the Chamber members and Leadership Seacoast alumni in the core Leadership Seacoast topics of Justice, Education, Arts / Culture, Economic Development, Government, Health & Human Services, and Environment.
During the Trend Talk you will hear three perspectives on the current state of the homeless population in the Seacoast of New Hampshire. Kyle Stucker, from Seacoast Media Groups, will share his observations on the ground while producing the Homeless on the Seacoast series last fall. Martha Stone, Executive Director of Cross Roads House, will share what challenges and successes Cross Roads House is facing as one of the largest homeless shelters in the community. Finally, Paige Farmer with the Greater Seacoast Coalition to End Homelessness will provide an update regional initiatives to address this issue.
Join us as we dive into the issues surrounding the population of homeless individuals on the seacoast.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an item of support for Cross Roads House. They are in need of coffee (no decaf), powdered drink mixes (gatorade or ice tea), and over the counter medicines such as ibuprofen, cold/cough medicines, cough drops, or Mucinex.
