Jason Ricci, an award-winning jazz, funk, and blues harmonica player, singer, and songwriter, has had a remarkable career despite battling addiction and homelessness. A fixture on the international blues scene, Ricci has toured with legends like Johnny Winter, recorded with major artists, and won multiple Blues Music Awards. His career began in Portland, Maine, where he was introduced to blues greats. After facing personal struggles, including time in jail, Ricci found sobriety and success, leading his own band, Jason Ricci and New Blood, and later The Bad Kind and the Ricci/Krown Trio. He’s known for his fiery harmonica playing and candidness about his life’s challenges. Ricci’s collaborations include Grammy-winning work with Johnny Winter and performances with Paul Shaffer at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Today, he continues to thrive in New Orleans, recording, performing, and mentoring. “Jason Ricci is a true musical force.”
