Join us in person or online for an enlightening panel discussion on the profound role of yoga and mindfulness in the journey of recovery from addiction. This event brings together experts and practitioners who are at the forefront of integrating these ancient practices into modern recovery programs. On Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, from 4:30pm-7:30pm EST, Yoga in Action will present Healing Paths: Integrating Yoga and Mindfulness in Addiction Recovery at 3S Artspace, 319 Vaughan Street, Portsmouth, NH. Please note: This is a hybrid event with options to participate in-person or via the livestream. The link to the recording will be provided to all ticket holders following the event. In recent years, the therapeutic benefits of yoga and mindfulness have gained recognition as powerful tools in addiction recovery. This panel discussion explores how these practices offer holistic support, addressing not only the physical but also the mental and emotional aspects of recovery. The event will include a keynote by trainer and speaker Nikki Myers, followed by a discussion including local experts. This event is Part Three of Yoga In Action’s ‘Light on Mental Wellness Series’ About the Series: Light on Mental Wellness is a solution-based education series meant for the broader community. Mental wellness is a central tenet to Yoga in Action’s ongoing mission to deliver the benefits of yoga to communities in need. It is critical for our communities to develop a deeper understanding of the pathologies, impacts, and interventions to addressing the mental health crisis. The series seeks to address this educational need through high quality annual events which tackle areas of Mental Health & Wellness with a theme of tying back to the benefits of yoga throughout. Join us for an inspiring conversation on how yoga and mindfulness can empower individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction. Together, let's explore the transformative power of these ancient practices in fostering healing, resilience, and inner peace. Who Should Attend: This event is ideal for healthcare professionals, addiction counselors, yoga instructors, mindfulness practitioners, individuals in recovery, and anyone interested in exploring alternative approaches to addiction treatment and recovery. *Yoga in Action will provide a letter of attendance to participants in who may be eligible for continuing education credits in their respective fields. The event qualifies for 2 hours of Yoga Alliance CE credits for yoga teachers.
