Our educational series will be a chance for women who work in the seacoast area to network, connect, and learn more about the art of mentorship.
About our participants
Alex Bynum
Alex Bynum , the 2025 recipient of the Outside the Box Award for CelebrateHER, s a Spiritual Guide, Healer, Teacher, Kabbalist and initiated Celtic Shaman trained and certified through the Modern Mystery School. With over 12 years of experience, Alex has helped thousands of people heal, get out of their own way, and discover who they truly are. Passionate about making the world a better place, Alex knows the best way to change the world is to begin with the self. Alex currently owns and operates Empowering Path located in Portsmouth, NH. Alex has received much recognition for her work including being named one of the top 10 to watch on the Seacoast in 2023 as well as being named one of the top 20 Spiritual Guides in the World.
Angel Simone
Angel Simone is passionate about community mobilization & engagement. As a person with a marginalized identity, they are dedicated to creating spaces where people from diverse backgrounds and experiences can come together in ways that foster meaningful connections.
As a speaker, trainer & coach, they have a passion for empowering others to discover their unique potential and becoming the next best version of themselves. Angel is a certified DEI consultant, and enjoys conversations on authenticity, identity & belonging, inclusive leadership and how we can build safer spaces where more of us can feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard.
Angel holds a Master of Engineering from the University of London and is certified in Organizational Change Management, Inclusive Leadership, Crisis Services, Managing Learning Technologies and is trained in Trauma- Informed care. She has worked in both non-profit and for-profit sectors, and has captivated audiences as a TEDx speaker, keynote speaker and podcast guest.
Bridget Shannon
Bridget Shannon, the recipient of the 2025 CelebrateHER Small Business Award, is the Owner of Nowadays Flowers, a cut flower farm and floral design studio based in Dover, on a mission to bring joy and beauty to the community through flowers. When they're not working in the field, the Nowadays team can be found popping up around town with Clover the vintage flower truck, flowering weddings and events across New England, or teaching educational workshops.
Bridget is a former Intuitive Eating Counselor and now holds a certificate in Therapeutic Horticulture from The University of North Carolina. She’s passionate about helping others find peace and connection in their daily lives. She is a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, the Women’s Business League, the Northeast Horticultural Therapy Network, the Chamber of Commerce, and serves as the Board President for Soul Models, a local nonprofit empowering girls to become mindful, confident, creative and engaged leaders.
Adele Siclia
With more than 10 years leadership experience focusing on program development and creating positive organizational cultures while simultaneously procuring funding and managing budgets exceeding $50 million, Adele Sicilia brings both management experience and her appreciation of the arts in all of its forms to the position of Director of the N.H. State Council on the Arts. During her years providing support to New Hampshire families in her career at the Department of Health and Human Services, she identified strategic priorities and developed programming that drew on the arts’ ability to transform lives, most notably by creating the Magnify Voices Expressive Arts Contest, which celebrates the creativity of New Hampshire youth and demonstrates the importance of mental health for a child's development.
