Join us for a breakfast event to connect with leaders from the education community. Joining us will be:
- Zach McLaughlin, Superintendent of Schools at Portsmouth School Department
- Courtney Ritchings, Director, Career Technical Education
- Stephen Chinosi, Principal, Portsmouth High School
Each speaker will be speaking consecutively, and there will be time for questions from the audience.
About Zach McLaughlin, Superintendent of Schools at Portsmouth School Department
As the Superintendent of Schools for the Portsmouth School Department since 2022, Zach McLaughlin has a variety of critical responsibilities. His role includes overseeing the entire school district, which involves ensuring the implementation of educational policies, managing the district's budget, and setting strategic goals for the schools under his jurisdiction. McLaughlin works closely with the school board, staff, and community to enhance the educational environment and ensure that students receive a high-quality education. McLaughlin is also responsible for handling crises and ensuring the safety of students and staff.
About Courtney Ritchings, Director, Career Technical Education
As the director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Portsmouth High School since 2019, Courtney Ritchings oversees a variety of programs designed to provide students with the technical skills, academic knowledge, and real-world experience needed for high-demand careers. Her role includes developing and managing CTE programs, securing funding, and fostering partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance learning opportunities for students.
About Stephen Chinosi, Principal, Portsmouth High School
As principal of Portsmouth High School since 2023, Stephen Chinosi focuses on enhancing three main areas: organizational structure, operational culture, and curriculum development. His initiatives aim to improve the support and positive growth of the school community, and he places a strong emphasis on student leadership and experience
