Start up the Fall with Singing! Join Voices from the Heart! Summer now, but the season of singing will start up.......soon!! Give yourself the gift of music to start the fall season!

Make a new beginning with celebrating yourself in song! Voices from the Heart, the Portsmouth women’s chorus devoted to singing soulful multicultural music from around the globe, is welcoming new singers for its fall season! "We are anticipating about 10-15 openings in our chorus beginning in September," says director, Joanne Connolly, "and we'd love to welcome some new women to our group! The spots for new singers will be filled on a 'first come - first served basis'. We are just back from our tour of Scotland, renewed and inspired! We'll be singing a new slate of great music including a few Scottish songs given to us by Scottish composer, Ali Burns, along with some fabulous American music including the Wailin' Jennys and a few really beautiful water inspired tunes including "River of Light" and a river rowing song, and much more!" Don't miss this time to sing, to join, to be part of a community that embraces its members, its local community and is a citizen singing group of the world! Come have fun singing AND being part of something much bigger than yourself....VOICES FROM THE HEART!! There are no auditions, and music reading is not required, just a desire to sing from the heart. Voices sings a variety of soulful music from a range of cultural and musical traditions. Voices from the Heart rehearses every Monday night from 7:00-9:00 pm at South Church, 292 State Street in Portsmouth. Registration has started for the upcoming season.
