This year’s lineup features a fantastic mix of local favorites and newcomers, ensuring a diverse and delicious experience for all attendees. Chowder Festival-goers will have the opportunity to savor chowder from: Buoy Shack (Kittery, ME) Nestled in the charming town of Kittery, Buoy Shack is a casual eatery that celebrates the essence of coastal Maine. Known for its laid-back vibe and delicious seafood, Buoy Shack serves up everything from fresh lobster rolls to hearty chowders. Its waterfront location and friendly service make it a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. Cheese Louise (Portsmouth, NH) Cheese Louise is a cozy eatery in Portsmouth specializing in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and comfort food with a twist. Known for its fun and relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant offers a variety of cheesy creations made with high-quality ingredients, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends and family. Napoletana Pizzeria and Bar (Portsmouth, NH) Napoletana Pizzeria and Bar brings the authentic flavors of Naples to Portsmouth. The Prop (Portsmouth, NH) The Arts Festival's own onsite kitchen, The Prop, will also be serving up a delicious chowder. Known for its dedication to high-quality ingredients and culinary creativity, The Prop provides festival-goers with a taste of local flavor right in the heart of Prescott Park. Additionally, Virgin Oyster Company will be on-site, shucking fresh oysters all day. Festival-goers can pre-order oysters when purchasing their tickets, ensuring they don't miss out on this premium offering. “We are excited to welcome such a diverse and talented group of restaurants to this year’s Chowder Festival,” said Courtney Perkins, Executive Director of Prescott Park Arts Festival. “Each year, the event continues a beloved community tradition, and we are proud to offer a platform where local restaurants can showcase their culinary skills to both residents and visitors of the Seacoast.” Chowder Festival tickets are $20 per person, and are FREE for Arts Festival season passholders. Everyone attending will need to secure a ticket, free or not, to participate in the tasting, ensuring enough chowder for all. The Summer Kick-Off side of the park with live music and family-friendly activities is free and open to all. The Chowder Festival will also attract some special judges, like well-known NH Chef Bobby “the butcher” Marcotte of Tuckaway Tavern and two-time Guy’s Grocery Games Champion. Last year the Judge’s Choice Award went to York River Landing out of York, Maine. The River House Restaurant retained their title as the "People's Choice", winning the award for the 8th year in a row and bringing the Golden Ladle home to their restaurant on Bow Street in Portsmouth, NH. The Chowder Festival is not only a celebration of culinary excellence but also a key fundraiser for the Prescott Park Arts Festival, supporting its mission to provide accessible arts programming to the community.
