DESCRIPTION:Chance Poetry Workshop\n\nA two-part experimental poetry workshop\n\nTwo Tuesdays - August 19 and August 26\, 2025\n\n6pm at Portsmouth Historical Society\n\n$25 for members\, $30 for non-members\n\n\nJoin us as we take inspiration from Cabot Lyford and our "Winds of Change" exhibition to try new styles and embrace techniques that incorporate the unexpected\, like erasure\, collage\, N+7\, exquisite corpse\, and more! This workshop is open to all levels of experience\, and particularly suited to those who want to try something new. We'll discuss techniques\, look at examples\, and free write in the first session\, and then come back the next week to continue the discussion and share our work.\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout the Workshop Leader:\n\n\n\n\n\nSarah Robbitts-Terry\n\nPortsmouth Historical Society's very own Outreach Director\, Sarah Robbitts-Terry will lead this poetry workshop. She received her undergraduate degree in creative writing from Columbia University and her masters of fine arts in poetry from the University of New Hampshire\, and has previously published poetry in Strange Horizons\, Star*Line\, RHINO Poetry\, and NonBinary Review\, among others.
