DESCRIPTION:Join Seacoast Eat Local for an evening of discussion and exploration on the topic of Fermentation! This workshop will be led by Helen Leavitt\, founder and head brewer of Auspicious Brew\, NH's first kombucha brewery.\n\n\n\nWe will cover a brief history of fermentation and its influence on society and various basic recipes of favorite fermented foods and beverages. We'll also sample a selection of fermented foods including locally made sourdough\, raw cheese\, cured meats\, fermented veggies\, and of course - kombucha! This workshop is being offered as a collaboration between Seacoast Eat Local and Auspicious Brew.\n\n\n\n50% of ticket sales will directly contribute to Seacoast Eat Local in its work of cultivating a thriving food economy by building bridges between regional food producers and consumers.
