DESCRIPTION:Intro to Textile Weaving Workshop Saturdays\, January 10\, 17\, 24\, 31\, 2026 9 AM-4 PM Explore the fundamentals of weaving in this four-week beginner workshop at Strawbery Banke. Participants will learn how to prepare and thread a loom\, select colors and patterns\, and create their own handwoven fabric under the guidance of experienced Museum instructors. Each session will provide hands-on practice with the Museum's 4-shaft Harrisville floor looms. By the end of the workshop\, you'll have crafted approximately 2 yards of fabric that can be transformed into items such as placemats\, towels\, or pillows. Participants should be able to kneel or squat and handle small threads. The Intro to Textile Weaving Workshop is suitable for ages 18 and older and designed for beginners. Class size is limited to 6 participants. Members $400\; Nonmembers $450.
