At the time\, French Canadian immigrants were laboring in the mills along the banks of the city's Amoskeag River in hopes of achieving a better quality of life for themselves and their families. Monsieur Hevey\, a local pastor\, sought to help them\, and a new way of banking founded on the idea of "people helping people" was established for the first time in America. From the start\, St. Mary's Bank was a place where everyone was welcome\, and anyone could belong.\n\n\n\nWell over a century later\, the legacy of our founders lives on. Member-owned and not-for-profit\, St. Mary's Bank is an inviting and inclusive credit union that strives to creates opportunities for individuals\, families\, and businesses. Our members motivate and inspire us to go above and beyond in providing progressive financial products\, best-in-market-service and trusted financial advice. The story of St. Mary's Bank is timeless and begins the way most great stories do\, with a dream to change the world for the better.\n\n\n\nAbout our Site:  Albacore Park\n\n\n\nAlbacore Park is a National Historic Landmark site located in Portsmouth\, New Hampshire. The park features a maritime museum\, gift shop\, and memorial garden\, while offering self-guided tours through a preserved submarine known as the USS Albacore (AGSS-569).\n\n\n\nThe USS Albacore was built at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard\, and launched in 1953 by the U.S. Navy as a research submarine. Decommissioned in 1972\, the USS Albacore was later brought to what is now known as Albacore Park\, where it was landlocked and opened to the public in 1986. Visitors can go inside this historical submarine\, look through the periscope\, and explore the control room\, engineering spaces and bunk rooms. Recordings by former crew members share fascinating stories from their time aboard the submarine.\n\n\n\nAbout Business After Hours:\n\n\n\nBusiness After Hours is the Collaborative's premier networking series.
