Description
Presented in partnership with the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute and New Hampshire Food Alliance. Every week 330 U.S. farm families leave their land. The documentary The Last Crop chronicles family farmers Jeff and Annie Main’s struggle to ensure their working farm’s future in California’s Central Valley. Their journey personalizes a story echoed on farms across our nation, as one out of every three of our aging farming population will face retirement by 2030. Children leave. Ideals are questioned. Their land’s future is uncertain. Witness one farm family’s resolve to save their land for future farmers.
Also presented in affiliation with Slow Food Seacoast, Seacoast Eat Local, Seacoast Permaculture, and Southeast Land Trust.
