Description
Foy Vance is a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter hailing from Northern Ireland, and deeply rooted in the rich musical history and aesthetic of the Southern United States. After his debut album gathered critical acclaim of both fans and fellow musicians, Foy was invited to tour worldwide with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Marcus Foster, Snow Patrol, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John.
Foy’s music is soul-shattering, jaw-dropping soulful folk and offers both the charisma and sincere musicality of a star-in-the-making.
NPR just listed him on their 10 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing saying, “Yes, She Burns is another out of millions of songs about love and desire, but the evocative vocals, Celtic chordal underpinnings and minimal production pull you in like a whirlpool. And, as the lyrics suggest, you won’t want to come back up.”
His latest, and third album, The Wild Swan, has been released on Ed Sheeran’s independent label, Gingerbread Man Records. Sir Elton John stepped in as executive producer for the album.
